Transforming an industrial warehouse into a beautiful, buzzing wedding venue is no easy task… Gorgeous couple Hamish and Kristin pulled it off for their Brisbane bash and created a hugely memorable day for all!
Wandering Cooks
The Wandering Cooks warehouse in Brisbane’s South Bank was the location for the couple’s big day. With help from The Photo Booth Guys, stylish mobile drinks and catering vans, and some creative DIY touches, the space was transformed into an amazing combined wedding/reception space.
DIY Groove
The couple’s homemade backdrop provided the setting for their wedding vows, and also served as our booth backdrop for guests to use throughout the event. Crafted from strips of pink and gold fabric and strung with letters saying Groove is in the Heart, the backdrop was an amazing way of incorporating the photo booth into the rest of the event, as well as maximising space.
Canavan?
The Canavan mobile bar and events space provided a super cool caravan bar and decorated seating area in one corner of the space. Meanwhile, in the venue’s courtyard, food van caterers set up under canopies in the courtyard outside, as well as a covered play area for children!
Our Photo Booth ran for six hours as guests partied with the happy couple and goofed around in front of the custom backdrop… prints were given out as mementoes of a truly unique event and the couple also collected print copies in a guestbook, with guests writing special messages to the bride and groom.

5. Mini me
…Yes, the inevitable happens and your time as smug, blissful newlyweds is coming to an end. A new chapter of life awaits, and it’s one that no longer involves sleeping or leisure time.
6. Expansion plans
Before you know it you have two small people fighting for your time, energy, attention, money and TV remotes. Mum’s face pretty much sums it up, especially when at least one of your offspring turns out to be a bit of an animal…
7. Retirement plans
Woah! I though you agreed on two kids max? Ah well, you have better odds on at least one of them becoming rich and looking after you in your old age.
8. Fly the nest
Before you know it, the kids are all grown up. Or at least, old enough to move out, even if not entirely grown up. All of a sudden you have time and money on your hands to rediscover that old flame of passion that shows that you have…
9. Still got it
Those are the faces of people who have handed the grandkids back to the parents and are getting on with enjoying a good party. Here’s to growing old together!
