Giant London church Hillsong has more than 1,000 volunteers, so getting them all together for a training night is a big deal!
As they don’t yet have their own building in London, so the Grade 2-listed Emmanuel Centre in Westminster was selected for this team night. We set up in the impressive foyer of the venue and supplied our speciality Atmosphere de PARTAY as people arrived and mingled over drinks and sugary goodies.
Emmanuel Centre
Although home to another church on Sundays, the historic building is also available to hire for conferences and other events and we rather liked it. There are quite a few different halls and rooms that can be used, and the main auditorium is a grand domed affair with anti-snoozing wooden pews and all mod cons. A very cool events option, and within spitting distance of Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and all that jazz.
Yes but what happened in the booth I hear you cry! Do you only read these posts to have a nose around other people’s photos? Ha! Who can blame you… here we go then – a little selection of the most divine moments of the evening.
Novelty hats?
One challenge we face when working with such a hip young crowd is figuring out who brought their own props. One of these hats is ours.
New beard pack
These guys loved our new beard props. Sadly though, they loved them a little too much and didn’t give them back. Church folk too, tsk.
Love for the city
No sign boards needed for this girl – she just loves London. Usually only tourists sport these tops but anyone who lives here and still loves it that much can wear what they like!
Boo ya?
Just like sad-face dancing, serious-face booth Boo ya is also a lot of fun. We’re not even joking.
Horse whispering
Neigh your prayers! This tattooed holy horse took the opportunity to entreat the almighty.
