08th June 2017

Mercedes-Benz Australia drafted us in to help celebrate the 130th birthday of the world’s first car at the Motorclassica show in 2016.

We were only too happy to help! Our retro-style, handcrafted tripod was a perfect match for Mercedes’ 1886-themed photo booth. Plus our fully customisable displays and photo templates went down a storm too…

Having posed, car boffins young and old got a free antique-style, Mercedes-branded print to take away. Along with the booth, our social media stations allowed for immediate sharing of the moment to social profiles.

Mrs 1886

The stand at Melbourne’s stunning Royal Exhibition Building featured a booth operator/model dressed in the garb of the time… Vintage car fanatics loved posing with the old three-wheeler and Mrs 1886 there.

Other Other Benz

The amazing Karl Benz Patent-Motorwagen here was the world’s first combustion engine-driven motorcar, created in 1886. More A-Z than Jay-Z, this ride had roughly the power of one horse and a top speed of 16km/h. Probably more than enough on those wheels.

Motorclassica

The 2016 Motorclassica event was an amazing showcase of around 400 rare motors, and Mercedes Benz Australia was lead sponsor for 2016. The Australian International Concours d’Elegance takes place at the event, and is basically the most prestigious classic car contest Australasia has to offer. Owners of the very finest old cars get to compete for the awesomest car award. Or something.

Chad McQueen – son of car nut and Hollywood icon Steve McQueen – was at the show as a VIP guest too. Also there was his dad’s famous Triumph motorcycle from The Great Escape! Although it was painted a weird green colour by a subsequent owner.

Photo Activation for Expos and Events

We love working with brands big (Adidas, North Face, Tiffany & Co…) and small, to make a huge impact at expos, trade shows, in shops, at launch parties, for photo shoots and just about anything else you can think of. We customise displays, prints and setups and can come up with custom installation ideas based on your aims.

Wanting to see more? Need ideas and inspiration for your event? Head to our social pages on Instagram, Facebook (UK or Australia) or Pinterest. Our corporate site for grown-ups here is also going to be handy for you.

We’re (quite frankly) the world’s greatest photo booth company. We started in Brisbane, Australia and do our thing in Melbourne and Sydney too. As well as our London HQ in the UK, we’re now cranking out photo booth hire in Birmingham and Manchester now too.
