Yes, it’s that time of year again when we pretend to have done this before and hold our annual Photo Booth Emoji Contest!
This year the competition is hot. Our entirely unsuspecting entrants have given their all and now all that’s left to do is to count down from ten to reveal the very greatest emoji-alike of 2015. So far anyway. It’s only September. But never mind! Here we go…
10. Quick as a Wink
They say a nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse. That has very little relevance here, but this is some lovely winking action and that’s a sassy DIY backdrop too.
9. Tongues wag
Blehhh to you too. How rude! Your friend has quite the right idea madam – WTF indeed.
8. In his shade
Top marks to this guy, those are some not-inconsiderable sunspecs. Incredibly, he manages to look even more like a cartoon than the emoji…
7. Zebra sandwich
Who wouldn’t be slightly perturbed sandwiched between two zebras in ballgowns? And just to clarify the accuracy of this match, he’s clearly blushing under that beard.
6. Kiss of wife
Self-proclaimed Mr and Mrs Amazeballs here have just got married so it’s as good a time as any to pucker up. Striped tie, checkered shirt and triangle background takes some aplomb to pull off, but Mr Amazeballs can do it.
5. Peck horse
Impressively accurate these two. They would have won first place but wearing masks is just a bit too easy… still, well done.
4. Even easier
Again, this one is almost uncanny… or just a lazy choice from the panel. Come on panel.
3. Jaw dropping
She can hardly watch as gal pal indulges in some sheer open-mouthed joy at being in our photo booth. And no, she isn’t pretending.
2. Shock and awe
Getting right up in the face of Mr Photo Booth doesn’t trouble his focus, but he will shine rather more brightly upon you at this distance. Fortunately, here this only heightens the drama… it’s all about light and shadow darling.
1. Grin right back
What a splendid tableau we have here… a whole load of random backs and a cheeky grin. And what a lovely grin it is, despite slightly lacking accuracy due to the beardyness. Top notch to you sir, numero uno, first place.
