Adding a slideshow and social sharing stations to your photo booth is a splendid way to boost interest and online activity around your next event.
We were honoured to be a part of the recent Ride the Night event in Brisbane, where hundreds of cyclists took to the starlit streets to raise cash for disadvantaged young people in Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland. We were part of one of the many fun pit stops around the route, adding some photo booth magic to document the intrepid riders’ achievements.
With the ride starting at 10.00pm, we were in for the night shift! Ours was the first pitstop of the night at the Boggo Rd Gaol, so we had to make sure we processed the eager riders quickly by bringing along our double booth.
The apparently haunted gaol was a slightly spooky location for our booth but riders were keen to snap themselves and help support the cause, posting directly to their social profiles using our two social sharing stations. These touchscreen wonders keep it super simple for guests to immediately share photos, boosting social buzz around your event and hashtag.
As well as our photo booths being open so everyone can see what’s going and struggle to resist getting involved, we added a slideshow projected onto the wall of the gaol. The projections looked great on the bare brick and guests could immediately see the results of their booth posing.
As ever, our booth guests loved getting their free custom-designed photo strips to take away as a memento of the evening. Some of the fancy dress efforts were well worth remembering…
Ride the Night takes place in Melbourne, Hobart and Brisbane and raises money for organisations working with disadvantaged young people in those cities. The rides are organised in collaboration with Bicycle Network, who also raise funds towards their goals of better cycling infrastructure and getting more Aussies onto their bikes.
Night Riders
Right, let’s take a look at the results of our booth and see what shape the riders were in at pit stop number one…
Brave faces
Veteran road warriors here, all thumbs up and ready for the challenge. Cute matching jerseys help a lot too.
Eager
Mother and daughter dressed as Mario and Luigi for a nighttime cycle session, naturally. Definitely totes amazeballs.
Jubilant
Chicks Who Ride Bikes here showing their mettle. Jolly faces and a very appropriate black streetmap jersey in the centre.
Confident
This lot don’t struggle with self confidence but one is wondering if he’s not missing out elsewhere. You’re not sir, nothing to fear.
Defiant/Doubtful
Yippee and amazeballs look pretty convincing here but Boo ya! is looking a touch unsure about the proceedings. Chin up mate, you’ve only got another 50-odd miles to go!
A huge thanks to Ride the Night and all our bikers for the evening! For more ideas on photo booths, Instagram printing and other cool stuff for corporate events, do take a look at our Instagram, Facebook (UK or Australia) or Pinterest pages.
