We recently slotted our vintage-style booth quite perfectly into the cutest rustic wedding at Melbourne’s fabulous Flowerdale Estate.
Kelden and Noi were the happiest of couples at the centre of this pretty wedding, and our rakish Duke Silver booth was called into action to capture proceedings. We popped him in the Mackenzie Room in the house for all to enjoy, and he looked right at home with the antique fixtures and fittings.
We brought our usual snappy speech bubbles, as well as a chalk board for guests to get creative with. Ice cream cones, daft glasses and fake beard cutouts also went down a storm.
Guests could roam the gorgeous grounds of the estate and enjoy the scenery throughout the reception, with dinner and drinks held in the gardens. One of our favourite features at any wedding – a dessert table – was beautifully equipped with goodies and decorated with fresh flowers.
As if this day couldn’t get any cuter already, this chap showed up and maxed out the cuteness factor. Flowers, cupcakes, fairy lights, gardens, cool photo booth and a puppy… Our list of must-haves for weddings increases by the day.
The staff at Flowerdale were super duper lovely and we hope to work with them again soon! They looked after us amazingly well and even gave our booth attendant a cuppa and some cake for the journey home. Bless.
Decor was simple but beautiful, with fresh flower centrepieces and hanging pompoms and lanterns in the gardens. Flowerdale is a very cool venue and has loads of spaces for groups of different sizes, with Gracies Restaurant offering locally-sourced food from the surrounding regions.
The hand-finished mahogany of our lovely booth slotted in just right in the traditional homestead interior of the Mackenzie Room overlooking the South Lawn. Our classic cream backdrop was just the ticket for such an elegant do too.
Always good to see the couple leading the way in the booth! Kelden and Noi got stuck in and set the tone for their friends and family… this may have been a very elegant wedding but that didn’t stop the fun.
Booth Output
You can usually get a good feel for the atmosphere at a wedding or event based on our booth pics… so let’s have a look and see what this collection tells us about this awesome day!
Lead Players
If Mr and Mrs are happy, so is everyone else! And these two were having the time of their lives and the guests followed…
Mad Hatters
These ladies were the cat’s whiskers when it came to booth antics… bow tie lady especially pulled off some extraordinary facial contortions. A key player for sure.
See
…see what we mean? A fabulous time was had by this wacky duo.
And Again
There she is again! This time with some willing followers in the face-pulling contest…
Masked Ball
All had a ball, and these simple cutouts worked a treat with the clean backdrop and elegant surroundings. We’ve never seen anyone ‘suit’ a green handlebar but this lady comes pretty close. Bravo.
Unreal
We often have to keep an eye on these ice cream props as people can get carried away with their mimes. This sensible lady is keeping her distance admirably well.
Hi Mel
Poor Mel. Never fun when your colleagues gang up on you but she seems to be taking it well. LOLz indeed.
Brill Bride
Finally, one of the best bride shots we’ve seen. You do need a good sense of humour to get through ’til death do us part’, and here this quality is very much in evidence.
A massive thanks to Kelden and Noi for a splendid day, and to the Flowerdale team for just being darlings. For more storming events and weddings such as this one, do check out our Instagram, Facebook (UK or Australia) or Pinterest pages for more.
