The mother of all karaoke nights took place recently as part of the Australian marketing campaign by umm.. communications for Tsingtao beer, and our InstaPrinta was there to capture the craziness…

Chinatown’s Dynasty Karaoke Bar was the location for this fluoro rave-up and the team at umm.. did an amazing job of decorating the place for the BeBold-themed night. The night safari karaoke room featured stuffed lions and a giraffe in a wig, while other themed rooms contained balloons, our InstaPrinta, a body-painting peepshow and Tsingtao merchandise.

Actors kept guests on their toes, including a roaming headmistress making sure everyone was Instagramming and hashtagging the evening to get their photos printed and pinned up in our dedicated InstaPrinta room. The night safari room was host to a safari hunter and a snooty butler outside the bathrooms ignored everyone throughout the evening.

One idea we liked was the hashtag and info decals on the mirrors in the bathrooms… this, along with the bossy headmistress, made sure people were engaging with the #TsingtaoBeBold hashtag and @tsingtao_aunz Twitter and Instagram accounts. The client requested two sets of each print so that guests could take one and the other be used to line the walls of our Insta room.

Anyway, let’s take a good old nose at what got pinned on the Insta wall that night by assessing how well the guests took up the challenge to BeBold! There was plenty of fun to be had, with entertainment in the form of a comedian, a beat boxer, FU NITRO fluoro gelato, some circus performers and a bottle or two of a certain Chinese beer…

Kurt

Instagram superstar and selfie king @kurtcoleman was present, doing what he does best. Given his professed obsession with extreme spray tans, we though it pretty bold of him to eschew his usual orange for green in the above shot…

Ah that’s better – glowing his usual hue here and surrounded by some new friends bold enough to pale in comparison to his radiant complexion. Props to you party people.

Lime Lycra Legs

Certainly a bold choice of legwear, but also strangely appropriate on this particular occasion. Day-glo body paint and semi-nudity clearly the way to go.

Stand Up

Definitely a bold choice to stand at the front of the crowd when a stand-up comic takes to the stage… A few nervous faces here but Ronny Chieng was hilarious and fully worth the risk!

Slapping a freebie Tsingtao singlet over the top of your party garb shows real commitment to the cause. Bold and printed with helpful advice for anyone wondering what to do with all the free beer.

BeBald?

Even stuffed giraffes can suffer from embarrassing hair loss. A bold curly blonde wig is the perfect solution – regardless of the looks you might get from strangers. What do they know anyway.

Nitro Gelato

Here are the FU NITRO boys making their delicious liquid nitrogen-cooled gelato blends. This stuff boils at room temperature and the liquid is -196°C! Perfect for making gelato with tiny ice crystals and maximum flavour, but requiring some care from handlers as it can do serious damage to skin… BeBold you ice cream heroes.

A bold choice of eyewear here. This chap looks like an angler fish with his luminous lures dangled attractively about his face. Who will fall prey to his day-glo allure?
