Taylor Swift, The Who, Kylie and The Strokes joined headline act The Photo Booth Guys at the Barclaycard BST Hyde Park festival last week!
Okay so that might not be totally true. BUT we were there along with a whopping 260,000 paying guests over the week-long festival! The Photo Booth Guys were invited along for the whole week by main sponsors Barclaycard to provide entertainment for guests in their swanky VIP Summer Garden.
We set up our booth in a lovely leafy bower for the week, to provide some cover for our gear (and us!). A colour-coordinated blue checkered backdrop tied in nicely with the sponsor area and gave a cool, summery feel to the booth.
Other big names to grace the BST (which stand for British Summer Time by the way) stage included britpop legends Blur, the modfather Paul Weller, rock gods The Who and the craziest Bond girl ever, Grace Jones. The festival included four days of free entry on Mon-Thurs until the big acts played from Fri-Sun.
The famously dodgy British weather was largely well-behaved, making the whole affair rather more pleasant than the rather dull and rainy Glastonbury festival taking place at the same time. Anyway, we’d far rather be watching Kylie and The Strokes in London than Kanye at Glasto if we’re honest, bless him and his big boots.
As usual, we like to include a few of the choice snaps from our booth too! Here are a few of our favourites from over the week…
Yes2Chess
The Barclaycard Summer Garden was also the venue for the Yes2Chess world championship finals during the festival. A human chessboard was created in the garden and a few pieces found our booth, including this emotional-looking queen and cheeky pawn. Great backdrop for it though eh!
Rookie
Here’s another one. Holding the sign a bit low – obviously a bit of a rookie…
Bishop to Knight
Slightly confusing one. We don’t remember there being a bishop-riding-a-horse piece in chess but it has been a while since we played.
Funky chicken
Hooray indeed, that is a great look you’ve got going on there! Especially with your horsey friend inexplicably poking his finger into your face! One cool cockerel.
Mad monkey
That is one scary looking monkey, staring straight into the lens. Cute nail polish though, which helps soften the image a bit!
Big old thanks to our friends at Barclaycard for a splendid week in the park! For more examples of magical corporate photo booth action take a look at our Instagram, Facebook (UK or Australia) or Pinterest pages.
