09th September 2015

WOAH hang on a bit… it’s September already? Yes! It’s that magical old time again when we round up a whole month of The Photo Booth Guys’ tomfoolery.

Everyone loves a summery, sunny wedding so August brought its usual slew of marvellous weddings for us to get all hot and boothered about! Boothered? Sorry, that was bad… August was also excellent for llamas, actually. Let’s crack on and have a look…

Cool Events

Jessica and Ben’s wedding: London, UK

Jessica and Ben

Jessica and Ben chose The Brewery – a former Whitbread brewery near London’s Liverpool Street station – for their sparkling wedding. Beer was brewed at this location between 1750-1976, but now the buildings form a very cool events venue with lovely brick walls perfect for our booth!

Celina and Tad’s wedding: Newstead, Brisbane

Glasses

Cool Brisbane backstreet bar and bistro Rogue was the venue for this groovy reception for Celina and Tad’s wedding. A major, major highlight was these very silly glasses.

My Adventure Store: Sydney & Melbourne Discover the Americas Travel Expos

Llama

August really was a big month for llamas, starting off with a giant cutout one for our booth at the My Adventure Store stand at the Melbourne and Sydney Discover the Americas travel expos. This fella really brought in the crowds for our photo booth + email sharing setup.

Justin and Amy’s wedding: Hillstone St Lucia, Aus

Sweets

Justin and Amy had a super elegant wedding at Brisbane’s Hillstone St Lucia venue, with its gorgeous gardens, courtyard and restaurants. Our polka dot backdrop fitted in just perfect with the delicious lollies and fruit on sticks props.

Providence Home Expo: Ripley, QLD

Providence

Jess and Ayden Hogan rocked up to join us with winners of Reno Rumble and The Block TV shows at Providence Ripley. The duo kept things buzzing in the booth, making everything pretty consistently totes amazeballs.

Tiffany & Co / Vogue fashion nights: Sydney and Melbourne Tiffany stores

Tiffany

Swanky jewellery store Tiffany & Co signed up our InstaPrinta for their fashion nights in collaboration with Vogue. The hashtag for the evening was #mynewtiffany, giving shoppers the chance to grab a Tiffany-branded print along with some sparkly things. Vogue Australia’s editor Christine Centenera dropped by too!

Cool August Stuff

Tassels, shrubbery and flowers made a splash in August, with couples getting nicely DIY when it came to backdrops… here are a few:

Kelly and Mark’s wedding

Kelly and Mark

Kelly and Mark chose the Spicers Clovelly Estate in Montville for their sumptuous wedding. Our booth backdrop featured a bower of white flowers around a dark background with a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald printed on it in gold: “I love her, and that’s the beginning and end of everything.” Pretty spectacular really.

The Fraser Wedding: Newell’s Farm, QLD

Fraser Wedding

The super-stylish Fraser wedding at Newell’s Farm in Queensland was a blast! This country barn-style wedding provided a plush ivy-covered wall for our booth, and became the perfect backdrop to some hearty fun for the happy couple and their guests.

Kenny and Amanda’s wedding: Quatt Quatta, Melbourne

Amanda & Kenny

Kenny and Amanda chose plush Melbourne venue Quat Quatta for their gorgeous wedding. The Victorian mansion was renovated by interior designers Hecker Guthrie and is a true gem, along with its terrace and amazing gardens. The booth backdrop was an elegant floral arrangement up the staircase behind and the couple’s signature cut-out worked great too!

Ella and Magnus’ wedding: Barbican, London UK

Ella and Magnus

London’s Brutalist architectural treasure The Barbican was the venue for Ella and Magnus’s wedding. The couple took design matters into their own hands, creating the splendid tasselled backdrop here, as well as designing their own photo strip. Top marks!

Moment of the Month

tpbg-napoleon-150809-0017

Earlier we mentioned it being a great month for llamas… well here’s the pinnacle of that month. Caspar here joined TPBG owners Steve and Sophie at the Royal Queensland Show (more affectionately known the The Ekka!). He was there as part of the RACQ Animal Nursery and we liked him a lot, as you can see.

Big thanks to everyone who made August so spectacular and HUGE congrats to all the happy couples… do wander over to our Instagram, Facebook (UK or Australia) or Pinterest homes for more of this sort of thing.
