The Photo Booth Guys always like to be at the beating heart of London’s cultural scene, and we were thrilled to be invited to join Icon magazine at its House of Culture as part of Clerkenwell Design Week recently. Icon always plays a big role in the design district’s popular annual event, but this may have the first time horse heads and chicken masks have featured quite so prominently…

Old Session House

Old Session House

The gorgeous Old Session House on Clerkenwell Green was the venue for Icon’s House of Culture, and the renowned design, architecture and culture magazine transformed it into every designer’s dream venue. Informative talks, sublime art installations and, of course, our photo booth, turned the 18th century former courthouse into a thriving hub during the festival.

So what were we doing there? Well, we were there as part of Icon’s competition during the event. They were offering the chance to win one of four classic Fritz Hansen chairs, in exchange for merely having a photo taken in our booth and uploading it with the @iconeye handle and ‪#iconeye hashtag! A pretty good deal I’m sure you’ll agree.

I’m an Icon!

Guests with photo booth prints

Guests got to take away Icon-branded photo strips of themselves, while Icon’s judges would later judge the various results on wit, creativity and style, with the best entries getting a chic Fritz Hansen plywood chair. Icon was also giving away a range of goodies to new subscribers during the three-day festival in and around Clerkenwell.

Here are a few of our favourite snaps from the event, including the fabulously pensive horse about. The chair-winning entries will be posted on www.iconeye.com soon, so have a look there for which crazy pics caught the judges’ eyes.

A huge thank you to Icon for letting us come and be a part of the fabulous House of Culture! Also, a big thank you to our guests over the entire three days for being very lovely indeed… and best of luck with the chairs!
