This annual Brissy fave brought out car nuts in their thousands, despite the blustery, chilly conditions!

We joined the petrolhead throngs at Eagle Farm Racecourse back in July to ogle more than 500 classic, prestige and collectible cars and bring our photo booth vibes to the party. A custom branded chequerboard backdrop and motoring props gave our booth the feel of a winners’ podium, and we sure enjoyed some winning poses throughout the day, as you’ll see shortly…

The day was also boosted by heaps of additional entertainment provided by RACQ’s raft of supporters, as well as craft markets and fresh produce, kids’ rides, entertainers and tempting food stalls. A fab day out for families on a budget, and although entry was free, all money raised went to funding RACQ’s rescue helicopters.

RACQ Staff Exemplary

As always, the RACQ’s staff were on hand to generally just be a heap of fun and all sorts of amazing. We love this event!

Waving Bear 2

Bear

The Flight Centre Rescue Bear was doing the rounds with his glamorous assistant. Not quite as good as the waving bear of YouTube fame, but almost.

The Main Attractions

You might think you know what a Fiat 500 looks like, but this right here is the true original – a design classic. Launched in 1957, this cute little motor was one of the first ever ‘city cars’. On its 50th anniversary in 2007, Fiat launched the new 500 model, which has proved a runaway success! Bit of car geekery there for you.

SEP_7216

Hmm the geekery may end here sadly… we know this is Ford because it has ‘Ford’ on the front, but other than that it’s just a Lovely Old Car from the year waybackwhen. Any buffs out there who can fill us in?

SEP_7215

We’d like to buy this one and use it to transport our booths around but it may fall slightly outside our price range. Generous donors please do get in touch.

SEP_7166

Too many cars? Not to worry. Here are some ladies on stilts wearing lips and tutus to mix things up a little.

Right! Down to business and our highlights reel of what was an epic day of photo boothery. Read on for wild costumes, happy accidents and even some philosophical posing…

Going Ape

Going Ape

Easily our favourite of the day. The goggles, the Gorilla T and a perfectly placed sign. You, sir, get the chequered flag.

Erm

Hello

Love this one too… LOL man doesn’t appear to be LOLing too much as these sassy teapot dames crash his session.

Existential booth

Existential

An unusual venue for philosophical propositions but these two went for it anyway. You are therefore I am..? Even Descartes would be confused.

Original Hipsters

Rockers

Just a bunch of hip dudes in the booth. So hip, in fact, that they even manage to make an inflatable flamingo look cool. Niiiice.

Boo Ya

Boo Ya

A perfect place to finish for a whole day of Boo Ya! Massive thanks to RACQ and friends for a brill day… we will see you next year, when the sun will be blazing.

Do have a gander at our social media whatnots on Instagram, Facebook (UK or Australia) and  also lovely old Pinterest. See you soon x
